In 2007 we started a public access defibrillator program with the generous support of the Kohl Foundation.The Foundation approached  the Elkhart Lake First Responders and asked that we help to get defibrillator's out to the public in our community.The goal is to get 3 units a year into businesses and public gathering areas that the units would most be needed.We have a formed a committee from our members who are also American Heart Assn. certified CPR/AED instructors. In 2007 we installed units At Three Guys and a Grill at the Sheboygan County Marsh,Sir Lance a Lot Golf Course at Crystal Lake and Plyco Company in Elkhart Lake. Owners and employees were trained in the use of these automatic external defibrillator's(AED),and CPR by our staff.
